About this rug
A warm, honeycomb-toned cotton border frames this hand-bound sisal area rug, giving a natural-fiber floor a quiet, tailored edge that anchors a room without competing with it. Woven from 100% natural sisal, it's tightly constructed to withstand daily foot traffic in entryways, living rooms, and hallways — and it can be made to your exact size.
The cotton border is offered in 3 widths: Narrow, Wide and Extra Wide. Narrow corners are lapped; Wide and Extra Wide corners are mitered. Narrow shows 3/4" on the face, Wide shows 1 1/4", and Extra Wide shows 2 1/4" — all top-stitched. Blind-stitching is available for Extra Wide (contact us for a quote) and shows 3" on the face.

Care & Maintenance
Regular vacuuming is the best way to keep natural-fiber flooring looking fresh. Vacuum loose dirt with a strong brush-suction vacuum, making several passes from different directions.
Vacuuming bound rugs: take special care with the border. Don't let the vacuum sit on the border or catch a corner, and vacuum in the direction the border is sewn so you don't pull it from the rug.
Cleaning: control moisture during cleaning. Do not steam clean, wet shampoo, or use any method that saturates the fibers with water — a dry cleaning process is recommended (our Host Cleaning Kit covers up to 250 sq. ft.).
Spills: blot fresh spills immediately with a white cloth and scrape up solids; follow with a white cloth dampened with club soda if needed, then dry with a hairdryer or fan. Because natural fibers absorb moisture, clean spills promptly to avoid watermarks.
